DeepaMehtas Semantic Desktop displays any type of information as a topic map.
The DeepaMehta user works in a networked environment but retains its private sphere.
Seamless web browsing. A Google search "Paul Klee" Theorie Einfachheit lead to an article in the german journal Freitag. While reading the article the user is able to construct a semantical network around it. Besides Paul Klee further persons are mentioned in the article, e.g. Hubert Burda, founder of Burda-Akademie zum dritten Jahrtausend, or Ernst Pöppel, brain researcher, or the author of the article: Franz Kluge. All new topics and associations are available to other users and in other contexts.
DeepaMehta can retrieve information from different datasources and display them in one topic map. The content of this modern arts example is actually retrieved from the artfacts.net database which contains 19347 artists, 1903 galleries, 9535 exhibitions, 408 artworks. Queries are also topics: a ? marked topic represents a combined query and result set. Result sets of more than 7 topics are never displayed at once. For each artist, gallery ... additional web results are retrieved via the Google search engine.
Balanced Scorecards allows connecting hard facts with soft facts. DeepaMehta allows cooperative editing of a Balanced Scorecard -- each criteria could be edited by another staff member. Balanced Scorecards can be compared with each other. Complete reports are generated as PDF document with embedded SVG graphics automatically. The layout is defined in XSL stylesheets.
The template mechanism allows adaption for different domains. Here a "Business Check" example is shown.
